The Anacacho Orchid tree a native of Mexico and some South-Western regions of Texas. The plant is commonly known as a large shrub but can be pruned into a small tree. It is characterized by irregular growth patterns.
The gray-green leaves of the Anacharcho Orchid Tree are slightly cleft. They drop when temperatures go below 30 degrees. The clusters of pale pink to white flowers emerge on new growth in the spring and last about a month. They look like orchids which is where the tree gets its name. Butterflies and bees are attracted to the blossoms of this beautiful shrub.
It grows thick foliage when exposed to full sun.
