The Large Agave forms massive flower stalks that can reach heights of 20 feet. In the middle of summer, the natural rosett pattern grows at its highest. The yellow blooms of the Large Agave can reach 10 feet tall. The leaves of the Large Agave have sharp spines at the tip. They require special care when handling.

The plant does not thrive in poorly drained areas. Also, because of the sharp spines of their leaves, they should not be planted close to walkways.
